Abstract
The study of evaluated,the implementation of language of instruction policy in both public and private primary schools in kwara state.The study employed deceptive survey method and the purposive random sampling techniques was used to pick five Yoruba-speaking local government of the area in kwara state. One teacher were randomly selected from twenty public and private schools from the five selected yoruba speaking local governments. The responses were analyzed using the t-test statistical analysis to find out whether there is a significant differences in teachers' perception. A five scale ranging from "strongly agreed" to "strongly disagreed", were used to measures the degree of responses . finding showed that the language policy is lacking in term of government , administrative, and implementation of policy. Also, no adequate teaching and learning materials were provided. it has been therefore recommended that federal and state Government should give necessary for the implementation of the policy.
