Abstract
A good classroom environment makes good instruction and discipline
management possible. This study therefore examined the level of classroom
management practices among primary school teachers in Saki West
Local Government Area, Oyo State, Nigeria.This study was a
descriptive was a descriptive research type. The population of this study
comprised all primary school teachers in the locale of the study.144
teachers who participated in the study were selected through simple
random sampling technique. Aresearcher designed questionnaire titled
Classroom Management Practices Questionnaire with the reliability
value of 0.79 (CMPQ) was used to elicit information from the
respondents.Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics
of percentage. Findings from this study revealed that classroom rules
and regulations, discipline, behaviour were being highly managed in
Saki-West Local Government Area of Oyo State. However, there were
not enough space for facilities and other requirements that support
English Language performance. It was therefore recommended among
others that primary school management should always ensure
moderate class size through the building of more classrooms to make
pupils feel relax and comfortable during the classroom teaching and
learning processes; primary school environment should always be
facilitated with teaching equipment through the building of spacious
classrooms, computer laboratory, basic-science laboratory, standard
toilets/rest rooms, library with enough reading materials
