In recent time, software project management has received considerable attention from researchers in the field of Search Based Software Engineering (SBSE). This paper presents an approach to Search Based Software Project Planning based on Shuffled Frog-Leaping Algorithm (SFLA). Our approach seeks to optimize work package scheduling with a view to achieving early overall completion time. To evaluate the algorithm, it is tested on a set of randomly generated problems and it’s results are compared with those of Genetic Algorithm (GA). Results indicate that SFLA is significantly superior to GA.en_US
