Abstract

This study examined the influence of teachers' variab/es, on their use of community resources in the I/orin metropolitan environment for soda/ studies instruction. Fifty three socia/ studies teachers were sampled from three /oca/ government areas within florin metropolis. The influence of teachers' variables of qualification and experience were considered on the use of community resources. Two research hypotheses were formulated and tested using t-test statistic-a/ analysis. The result of the findings indicated that qualification and experience have influence on teachers' use of community resources. Based on the findings; recommendations were made that teachers should be orientated in the use of community resources through attendance of seminars, workshops and conferences and that government should support teachers financia//y for improved efficiency on theirjob
