Abstract
This study examined corporate social responsibility of Airtel Nigeria towards Youth Empowerment and well-being of the people in Lagos Metropolis. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The target population of the study were 4,174 comprise male and female A sample size of 250 respondents were selected through multi-stage sampling procedure. A self-designed questionnaire was used for data collection. The reliability of the instrument was done using test re-test technique and a co-efficient 0.85 was obtained through Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). The administration of the instrument was done by the researchers and four field research assistants. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics: frequency counts, percentages and mean scores. The findings of the study revealed that the lack of accurate data, inadequate funding are the challenges facing Airtel Nigeria in providing social responsibility. The study therefore, recommended that: Airtel Nigeria should use survey data to conclude on any project or programme intended for the youth. Accurate data of youth residing in Lagos metropolis, as well as challenges facing the youth should be put into consideration in planning any cooperate social responsibility programmes.
