Abstract
Appellate advocacy remains a critical instrument in the refinement and consolidation of criminal jurisprudence, particularly in jurisdictions where the Supreme Court serves as the final arbiter of legal principle. The decision in Talal Ahmad Roda v. FRN provides a compelling context for examining the role of skilled advocacy in exposing doctrinal inconsistencies and correcting judicial error. The case raised fundamental issues bordering on the nature of conspiracy, the evidential threshold required for criminal conviction, and the duty of courts to properly evaluate evidence.
