Item An Assessment of the Role of Microfinance Banks in Etrepreneurial Development in Selected Rural areas in Kwara State(Department of Business Administration, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, 2012) Sulu Babaita Isiaka; Abdulrasheed Abdulraheem; Salman Abdulrasaqconcept of microfinance is not a new phenomenon; as it has operated for centuries in many forms in various economies of the world. The objective of this is to assess the role of Microfinance banks in relation to entrepreneurship development in rural areas of Kwara State. 300 copies of structured questionnaire were randomly distributed to selected respondents in rural areas of Kwara state; this was analysis with the use of Regression techniques. The findings Indicate that there is an impact of microfinance on the development of entrepreneurship in selected rural areas of kwara state. The study therefore recommends that: practitioners :n the microfinance industry must appreciate that financial sustainability important for cash flow requirements of the entrepreneur in the rural areas.Item An Evaluation of Human Resource Accounting on Corporate Performance(Penerbit UTHM, 2023-06-27) Jimoh Adams Lukman; Salman Abdulrasaq; Yahaya, J. I.,The accounting component of human capital has not yet been fully adopted and implemented in corporate financial reporting of corporate organizations. Determining the impact of human resource accounting on turnover, earnings per share, and capital employed of corporate performance of the listed businesses in the Nigerian stock exchange is the goal of the current study. The results of the study demonstrate that (I) human resource accounting significantly influences business turnover, (ii) human resource accounting significantly influences earnings per share, and (iii) human resource accounting significantly influences return on capital employed. In conclusion, the financial reports would be more useful for making decisions if human resources were included as an asset rather than reported in the traditional manner. Therefore, the study suggests that the listed firms adopt a culture of valuing and disclosing education, training, and ongoing retraining of their human resources to enhance performance.Item Assessment of E-recruitment in Kwara State Bridge Empowerment Scheme in Ilorin, Nigeria(Faculty of Management Sciences, Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos, Nigeria., 2016-12) Salman Abdulrasaq; Isiaka, Sulu BabaitaDecades ago, Nigeria was known to be one of the richest countries in Africa because of her great petroleum reserves and large population. Ironically, Nigerian economy is now characterized by unemployment and poverty which more often result in social vices, such as community crisis/clashes, societal conflicts, and kidnapping. This called for action plans to combat these vices. Such action plans adopted in Kwara State Nigeria, is Kwara State Bridge Empowerment Scheme (KWABES). This study therefore assesses e-recruitment •in KWABES. The study population includes selected beneficiaries of the scheme. Both primary and secondary data were used to achieve the study objectives. The primary data were generated through administration of structured questionnaire and secondary data were sourced from KWABES records, electronic source and media. Histogram and Z-test statistical technique at +1.960 and -1.960 for acceptance or rejection of the study hypotheses were used to achieve the objectives of the study. Research findings show that there is positive effect of e-recruitment in KWABES on employment generation for the youth in the state. Also, the use of e-recruitment in KWABES has contributed significantly to the reduction of poverty in the state as a result of employment opportunities for the youth in the state. The study concluded based on findings that progress was made in terms of youth employment generation within the periods under study. The study therefore recommended that; KWABES should expand the scope of vacancies through e-recruitment by creating more jobs for youths in the state and to adequately specify the manpower requirements on the job advert portal.Item Assessment of the Effect of Small and Medium Enterprises’ Patronage on Financial Performance of Microfinance Banks in Ilorin, Kwara State(Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, 2018) Salman Abdulrasaq; Olawale Yinusa Alabi; Saka Taofiq AlaoSmall and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) are the entire variety of money making activity within all sectors such as banking sectors and share amount of general harms that deter effective performance in many nations .However, effect of SMEs in the economy generally on microfinance banks have not been observed due to low effect of microfinance banks service products as expected to meet the required needs of entrepreneurs and to enhance the business relation of SMEs.. Therefore, it becomes imperative to examine the effect of SMEs patronage on performance of Microfinance Banks (MFBs) in Ilorin, Kwara State. The study used well-structured questionnaire to collect data from 104 employees five (5) selected Microfinance Banks (MFBs) in Ilorin Metropolis. Pearson correlation 5% level of significant was used to test the formulated hypothesis of the study. Findings of the study shows that there is a significant correlation between small and medium scale enterprise (SMEs) and product services of microfinance banks which include loan service (R=0.950), e-transacts (R=O.939), financial advisory (R=O.964) and group collection services (R=0.926) is high at 5% level of significant. The study concludes that when SMEs properly harnessed and supported by microfinance financial product services it will contribute significantly to the performance of MFBs. Most of these organizations hold inventory so as to meet their customers’ needs. However, managing these inventories in order to achieve their objectives has posed a great challenge to the firms. This study was to examine the effect of automated inventory management system on productivity in selected consumable goods manufacturing firms. Survey research design was adopted for the study. The study population comprises of 600 out of which sample of 240 was selected and copies of questionnaire were administered to the respondents to obtain the necessary primary data. Multiple regression was used in testing the formulated hypothesis. The result of the analysis revealed that automated inventory system has significant influence on organizational productivity (R2 = 0.721 and p-value less than0.05) The study concluded that there was a significant effect of automated inventory system on organizational productivity. Therefore, the study recommended that firms The organization should embrace efficient inventory management practices that could ensure optimal investment in inventories as strategy for gaining competitive advantage over competitors and that organizations should also adopt more modern sophisticated techniques such as the Just-In-Time systems, Economic Order Quantity model, and so on in their operations to ensure control of inventory so as to obtain cost efficiency and effectiveness.Item Effect of E-recruitment Strategy on Selection of Job Applicants in Some Selected Organisations in Nigeria(LAPAI Journal of Management Sciences. 6 (5); 586-599, Published by Department of Business Administration, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai-Niger State, 2016) Salman AbdulrasaqDevelopment of internet has continued to pose many challenges to traditional recruitment and selection processes in Nigeria. These challenges include: burden in sorting of applications and bias exhibited during the selection process. The study objective of this study examined the impact de-recruitment strategy on selection of job applicants in the selected organisations. The study population comprises of 400 employees that were working in the human resource and administrative departments of the selected organisation. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 375 employees as sample size for the study. 375 copies of structured questionnaire were administered and returned. Multiple regression were techniques used to analyze the collected data. Findings of the study shown that sorting time at p-value —0.000 and there is a significant impact of e-recruitment strategy on appointment of job applicants from the result of multiple regression analysis as p-value =0.000. The study concluded that e-recruitment strategy has significant impact on applications sorting time and selection of job applicants. It seeks to attract and retain suitable employees, encourages good management. Employee productivity is hindered when rewards system is inadequate. The main objectives of the study were to examine the effect of reward system on employees’ productivity. This study unfolds a number of factors that account for an equitable reward system for effective performance and efficiency. The population comprises of 92 staff of the selected staff of the bank under study. Multistage sampling technique was used and 44 staff were purposefully selected for gathering data for the study. Data was collected and analyzed using frequency table and linear regression to examine the effect of reward system on employees’ productivity. Findings of the study show that there is a significant effect of reward system on employees productivity with β =.0124, .0001, p-value This implies that an increase in the covariates increase in the reward via productivity. In view of this, the study recommends that the organizations’ reward packages should be linked to productivity, employee satisfaction and motivation. The objective of this research work is to critically examine the effect that increment of salary and enhanced emolument has on employees' productivity. The data used were primarily obtained from questionnaire administered to the staff of the randomly selected banks in Nigeria. The regression method of data analysis was used to test the outcome of the feedback of the questionnaire distributed. The study discovered that salary increment and enhanced emoluments has a positive effect on the level of employees' productivity. Due to the diffusion of the Internet in combination with an increasing number of users, e-recruitment has gone through a rapid growth. The traditional recruitment system was jettisoned in most organisations because it lacks transparency, equity, wide coverage and encourages time wastage, high cost of recruiting expense, etc. This study explores effectiveness of Staff e-recruitment on recruitment process in University off ilorin, Nigeria. The population of the study includes all staff working in the University human resources department. The study data were gathered through structured questionnaires administration which were duly completed and returned by the 52 staff members working in the University Human Resources Department Descriptive, cross tabulation, Chi-square, Crammer's view and Gammar statistical techniques were used to achieve the objectives of the study. The study found that there is a direct relationship between e-recruitment and easy accessibility of applicants. Also, the use of e-recruitment method in the University provides easy and instant ways for sending vacancy information to the public on a wide coverage. Conclusion of the study shows that e-recruitment will help for betterment of traditional recruitment with easy accessibility to candidate, less time and cost. Thus, the study's overall goal was to assess the impact of skill management on employee efficiency in the NDLEA Ilorin, Kwara state. The study's particular goals were to determine how employee skill training affects employee competence, and examine how employee skill development influences employee commitment. One hundred sixty-eight employees of the company were surveyed using a standardized questionnaire. SPSS was used to perform multiple regression analysis on the hypotheses that had been formulated. NDLEA employees' competence and commitment were found to have a strong relationship with employee training and employee development by the R2 value of 0.743 and 0.764, respectively, based on the findings of the study. It follows that employees may be slow and unable to achieve better levels of production if their efficiency isn't raised through skill management, as the bulk of the factors were shown to be statistically significant when compared with its individual dependent variables. However, there had been complaints from customers about the quality of service delivery of the mobile telecom nerworks (MTN) in Nigeria. In spite of the appreciable growth and expansion recorded in the industry, “ the quality of service is still poor” . Therefore, this study is designed to examine the effect of customer care service on customer satisfaction and examine the effect of network quality on customer satisfaction. Primary data were used, the primary were obtained through the administration of questionnaire. Multi stage sampling was employed, first, stratified sampling was used 10 segment llorin market into three (3) on the basis of socio-economic consideration. Frequency distribution and multiple regression method were used to analyse the data. The result of the analysis revealed that quality customer care service and quality of network affects customer satisfaction, and that there is significant relationship between pricing policy of telecommunication organisation (MTN) and customer satisfaction. The study concluded that MTN should not just rely on profit margins as a good indicator of business performance; rather, they should develop strategies that will capture customers perceptions of their service In light of these, the study recommends that billing, customer care service, quality service delivery and reduction of tariff should be focused upon by the service provider so that the market share and the profit of the organization can be realized.
