Abstract
Development of internet has continued to pose many challenges to traditional recruitment and selection processes in Nigeria. These challenges include: burden in sorting of applications and bias exhibited during the selection process. The study objective of this study examined the impact de-recruitment strategy on selection of job applicants in the selected organisations. The study population comprises of 400 employees that were working in the human resource and administrative departments of the selected organisation. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 375 employees as sample size for the study. 375 copies of structured questionnaire were administered and returned. Multiple regression were techniques used to analyze the collected data. Findings of the study shown that sorting time at p-value —0.000 and there is a significant impact of e-recruitment strategy on appointment of job applicants from the result of multiple regression analysis as p-value =0.000. The study concluded that e-recruitment strategy has significant impact on applications sorting time and selection of job applicants. The study recommended that organisations should use e-recruitment strategy for managing time, sorting of applications and preventing human interference during recruitment and selection process.
