Item Determinants of Banks Patronage in Nigeria: The Search, Experience and Credence Factors for Sustainable(Journal of Sustainable Development in Africa., 2018) Adeoti, J. O.; Isiaka, S. A.This study seeks to examine Search, Experience and Credence (SEC) factors as determinants of banks’ patronage and its implication on fund mobilization and fund applications for sustainable development in Nigeria. Purposive and convenience sampling techniques were employed to select the sample size of the account holders in the selected banks. Data were collected by use of self-administered questionnaire on a 7-point Likert scale. Findings revealed that Search attributes ranked higher followed by Experience attributes and the Credence attributes in that order. The study concluded that bank customers are highly sensitive to the SEC before making decision about patronage. Therefore, Service Organizations like banks should consider these when developing strategy for customers’ patronage. O.; Omolabi, I.Nigeria has recently witnessed a huge increase in the number of industrial actions. No day passes in Nigeria without strikes or threats of strikes in one form or another. In fact, industrial actions have become so endemic in Nigeria that even our courts would be prepared to take judicial notice of them. In the light of this, to avert this unhealthy trend, the promotion and development of collective bargaining has been proclaimed to be the most desirable medium n settling industrial conflicts in a work environment. This study is designed to critically examine the impact of collective bargaining on industrial conflicts resolution in Nigerian public universities. The study targeted academic staff of both states and federal universities in South-West geo-political zone of Nigeria, owing to their active participation in industrial actions. The sample size of 600 academic staff were selected from 6000 ASUU members in South-West geo-political zone. The use of collective bargaining has been found to have meaningfully contributed to industrial peace and harmony as well as effective medium in checking incidents of strikes, labour unrests and brain drain in Nigerian public universities. L.The various studies on organisational culture have shown that employees in most of the business organisations in Nigeria today are operating under the whims and caprices of the owners established beliefs, values and norms which are usually difficult to change as environment changes. Failure in the attempt to properly capture the interest of the employees when addressing this, usually generate the exhibition of some attitudes and behaviours that are inconsistent with the company’s best interests. Therefore, this study examines the impact of organizational culture on employees’ performance with reference to selected Pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research design. Primary data was used to obtain the needed information through structured questionnaire. Out of 634 permanent staff of the selected pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria, simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 239 respondents. Multiple regression used to test the formulated hypothesis. The result of the regression showed that organizational culture has significant impact on employees performance (R Square of 0.684, p-value=0.0001). The study concludes that organization culture has a significant relationship as well as a good influence on employees performance. Also, significant differences exist in the level of adherence to the identified cultural dimensions. The study therefore recommended that the Pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria should promote organisational culture, especially by paying more attention to detail so as to yield positive and significant contribution to employees performance.Item Impact of Reward Philosophy on Corporate Entrepreneurship Performance for Sustainability of the Food And Beverages Industry(Journal of Sustainable Development in Africa., 2018) Adeoti, J. AThis study examined the impact of reward philosophy on corporate entrepreneurship performance for sustainability of the food and beverage industry. The food and beverage companies selected were those that fall among the top 20 companies with the highest market value quoted in the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Thus, six companies located in the Southwest Nigeria were selected, involving 338 respondents, differed in their hierarchical and functional positions to capture various staff viewpoints across a variety of management and employee grades, as well as across different teams and departments. The study uses four explanatory variables (Salary [Sa], Recognition [Recg], Promotion Opportunity [PrOp] and Allowance [Alw] for the purpose of predicting corporate entrepreneurship performance [CoEp] for sustainability in Food and Beverage Industry. Multiple regression analysis was employed to examine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The findings of the study revealed that the reward philosophy is crucial to corporate entrepreneurship performance which is required for sustainable development of the Nigerian economy with calculated p-value of 0.000 which is less than the tabulated p-value of 0.05 at 95% level of confidence.
