Item EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF WORK LIFE BALANCE ON WOMEN ACADEMIC CAREER GROWTH IN SELECTED UNIVERSITIES IN KWARA STATE(Department of Business Administration, University of Lagos, Akoka, 2019) Olota, Oluwayomi Omotayo; Abdul, Falilat Ajoke; Oladipo, Ganiyu taiwo; Hauwau, BelloIn the past, women were confined to their husband's home taking care of household responsibilities but with the advent of industrialization, women role has drastically increased. This new roles creates an imbalance in one domain. The study investigated work life balance among female academicians in selected universities in Kwara state. The populations of female lecturers were 204 out of which 135sample size. A structured Questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection. The findings of this study discovered that 1) the relationship between management support and women career advancement is significant since alpha level of 0.05 is greater than the p-value of 0.000 2) the relationship between childcare and working mother's commitment is significant since alpha level of 0.05 is greater than the p-value of 0.000 3) the correlation co-efficient gives (r=0.792) meaning that there is a perfect positive relationship between flexible workings hours and job engagement of working mother. The special findings of the research are that majority of the female lecturers of selected universities in Kwara don't have career plans and career orientation. This study recommend the use of paternity leave by spouse immediately affect their wives gives birth to increase spouse support, increase managerial/organizational support in term of implementing work life balance policies, provision of childcare facilities at the work place would help working mothers put their mind at rest and improve their commitment, implementation of flexible working to increase their engagement and commitment to the organization.Item IMPACT OF HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT ON ORGANIZATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY(Kaduna Business and Management Review, 2014-12) Adeoti, Johnson Olabode; Abdul, Falilat Ajoke; Aun, Isaac IortimbirThe importance of human resource development to organizational productivity cannot he over emphasized. Most organizations in the less developed countries are characterized with low productivity rate because of under development in human resources to effectively and efficiently transform the available resources into the required output. The study examined the impact of human resources development on organizational productivity using Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Plc, Ilorin as a case study. The objectives of the study is to examine the importance of human resources development as a means of increasing organizational productivity, highlighting the needs for human resources training and development and its relevance to the organizations need and the industry at large. Questionnaire was designed to obtain primary data from employees of NBC. Simple percentage and frequency table were used to analyze the rate of responses of the independent variables elicited from the administered questionnaires, while multiple regression analysis (with the aid of SPSS) was used in testing the formulated hypothesis. The result shows that human resources development is indispensable as it prepares workers for increased organizational productivity in any economy, it reduces the cost (wages/salaries) paid to expatriates. It is actually a sub-field of neuroscience that aids marketing-related decisions via the usage of brain research techniques. This work reviewed extant literature on the meaning of the neuromarketing concept, the importance of neuromarketing, neuromarketing techniques and the application of neuromarketing to the traditional 4Ps of marketing as well as the limitations of neuromarketing. The paper was fundamentally based on documentary sources through a review of textbooks, journal and seminar papers, conference papers and dissertations. It was concluded that neuromarketing is an emerging marketing tool that can measure neural activities which occur during relevant marketing-related consumer behaviours such as attention, memory, affect and choice. It is also a significant instrument for detecting hidden information about target customers.
