Abstract
The order of the day in present Nigeria is corruption. Corruption has eaten deep all fabrics of our systems. This is noticed when problems ravaging the progress of the country are discussed. It is very rare to listen to speakers on national problems without the issue of corrupt practices being mentioned. It is against this background that this study was carried out to identify the corrupt practices prevalent in secondary schools with the aim of analyzing the potentials of Islamic Studies in curbing corruption in our schools. Descriptive method was adopted for the study. Questionnaire was used to elicit information from secondary school teachers in selected schools in Ilorin, Kwara State. The outcome of the study indicated the presence of corrupt practices in Nigerian secondary schools. The study concluded that functional incorporation and adoption of the teachings of Islamic Studies would go a long way in curbing corrupt practices in Nigerian secondary schools.
