Abstract
The product innovation process is a concept that banks are gradually adopting in order to outwit one another in the market place. This paper therefore analyse this process among Nigerian Banks, the different functions carried out by the banks, the innovation process, the various products and services offered by the banks and also the reason why a bank has to be innovative in its service rendering process. It concludes by recommending amongst other measures that a bank has to constantly come up with innovative products to be able to compete better in today's ever changing business and technologically driven environment.
