A structured questionnaire and proforma were used to collect relevant information from the students. The data collected for the study was analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation co-efficient method of data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that there was a significant relationship between home experience and academic performance of students in this study. Out of six hypotheses formulated for the study two were accepted and four rejected based on the result from the analysis. Based on these findings, it was recommended that parents should create conducive environment in the home by showing love and affection to their children and making the home emotionally stable and secure for their children so that they can concentrate and learn better in school. Parents should also monitor their children’s schoolwork, provide school material and monitor the effective uses of these materials. Parents should also assist their children in their homework and create extra mural classes for their weak children. The government should equip schools with qualified teachers and school facilities like computer and current textbooks in the school libraries so that students can benefit from them. The teacher should create a conducive classroom environment that can enhance teachers-students interaction and deal with each student as an individual and as a group.
