dc.description.abstractThe researcher observed that quite a disturbing number of Isamic Studies Education students prefer to take English related courses from other unit as elective, where Arabic related courses are among the provided options. They have indicated that such students run away from Arabic related courses. On this note, this study investigated the perception of Islamic Studies Education students on Arabic related courses in the Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin. A total number of one hundred and eighteen (118) Islamic Studies Education students in the Department of Arts Education, University of Ilorin were adopted as sample for this study. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the sample. Questionnaire was carefully designed for the purpose of collecting relevant information from respondents. Inferential statistic of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to test two hypotheses the remaining one hypothesis was tested using Pearson product-moment correlation statistics. The finding showed that there was a significant difference on the impact of Arabic Language and the studying of Islamic Studies. It was recommended that Islamic Studies Education students who are deficient in Arabic language should embark on Arabic language proficiency classes within and outside the campus, so as to overcome the challenges they might encounter in the Arabic related courses.en_US
