dc.description.abstractThe life and times of Dr. Dawood Ahmad Ishola Adekileun Tijani is worthy of historiographical discourse on many grounds. Firstly, he was one of the best Chief Imams that ever presided over the Central Mosque at the University of Ibadan. Apart from his Islamic background, he was a successful academic whose profundity and scholarship in the field of Arabic grammar has described as exemplary by his teachers, colleagues and former students. Besides, his human relations translated to distinct and enduring relationships between the town and the Muslim Community in Ibadan generally. More importantly, his altruism and financial support for indigent students and the needy is also a significant factor at determining his contribution to scholarship and humanity.en_US
