Empirical studies revealed that the problem of poverty is highly prevalent in most sub-Saharan African such as Nigeria. This situation calls for various international agencies and government of those nations to embark on strategies to alleviate the scourge of poverty and promote productive ventures. Poverty is a global issue and could be combated through targeted entrepreneurial education and training. The objective of the paper is to examine the roles of entrepreneurial education and infrastructural development for poverty eradication in Nigeria. Since education is an important engine for economic growth and development of any nation, it is necessary that adequate attention is paid to entrepreneurial education as a prerequisite for national development. No nation can boost of being developed without the activities of entrepreneurs. These are the people that bring innovation and invention into the economy and whose activities bring wealth to the nation, they are otherwise known as the” risk takers”. Education plays a role in the nation’s economy because when entrepreneurial education is being introduced into educational curriculum from the primary school through to University level, students mind would have been channeled or better prepared towards entrepreneurship, so that by the time they leave school at the completion of their courses, they become self-reliant. This paper further highlights the need for infrastructural development as a catalyst for entrepreneurship which the resultant effect is poverty eradication. Different approaches were examined as a way of discovering opportunities such as regular entrepreneurship, promotion of innovation etc. It was recommended amongst others that the government should invest largely on infrastructural development so that entrepreneurs will be encouraged to invest in the economy.en_US
