Abstract

The descriptive survey was employed in this study. The population for this study was made up of three hundred and thirty (330) respondents that were illiterate in Kwara state, Nigeria. The main instrument used to obtain data for this study was adapted questionnaire, four research questions were formulated and the data collected for this study were collated and analyzed using percentage. Based on the findings of this study, sensitization and awareness campaign, seminars and workshop on women education should be the first on the agenda list of government and the need to raise the study of women in non-formal education in the society and bring them to the developmental process as partners in progress.
