dc.description.abstractWhen one mentions Africa in the context of education, what comes to mind is always underdevelopment. And the nexus between education and development remains and issue for most African governments. Using historical method, the study makes an analysis of education and development in Africa using Nigerian as a case study. The paper concludes that in precolonial African educational system that unemployment did not exist and calls for return to the roots.en_US
