dc.description.abstractAttempt was made in this paper to examine how multiple learner-centered instructional strategies can be effectively and efficiently used to teach the topic ‘Controlling the Environment’ at the Junior Secondary School level. The first part of the paper provided useful insights into how science teachers can use a combination of , Resource person, Project and Field trip as instructional strategies to facilitate meaningful learning of Controlling the Environment by the students. In the second part of the paper, a compressive lesson note was used to illustrate practical steps to implement the use of multiple instructional strategies to teach the topic, Controlling the Environment. The paper called on science teachers to endeavor to use multiple instructional strategies during class lesson in other to take care of differences in students’ cognitive styleen_US
