This article examines the aesthetic forms in Enikuti. Enikuti is the ritual poetry of the Nupe Ndakogboya masquerade performance that emerged as a cultural and aesthetic phenomenon among the Nupe people of Nigeria. A ritual is a display of the intrinsic systems of ideas and worldview of a people used for the indication of their modes of perception and sensibility. An interpretation of the poetry also serve as pointers to the social, political and occupational organization of the people.en_US
