Abstract

This article examined principals' administrative skills as predictors of effectiveness in secondary schools in Ilorin-south Local Government, Kwara State, Nigeria. The researchers randomly selected a study sample of ten schools and 250 teachers. Two sets of questionnaire were used to collect data' The data collected were analysed using mean, standard deviation and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Statistic. The findings revealed that there was a significant relationship between principals' administartive skills and school effectiveness in Ilorin-south Local Government, Kwara State, Nigeria. It was concluded that the higher principals' technical skills, the higher would be the level of school effectiveness or otherwise.
