dc.description.abstractLearning outcome is one of the top priorities for school. It is the outcome of education, the extent to which a student, teacher or institution has achieved their educational goals. Learning outcome is commonly measured by examination or continuous assessment, but there is no general agreement on how it is best tested or which aspects are most important. The research method employed was a descriptive survey of correlational type. Using a multistage sampling technique. Nine hundred and forty-eight (948) students of candidate that sat for Arabic Language examination in North-central Nigeria were logically selected with purposive sampling technique between 2015 and 2019. Proforma was used as research instrument and collected the 2015 to 2019 WAEC and NECO SSCEs results. The percentage and the Pearson’s chi-square via contingency table were used for data analysis, while symmetric measure of Cramer’s V was used to determine the degree of association between the variables. The study revealed among others that, the learning outcome of students in Arabic WAEC and NECO SSCES was excellent. The paper concluded that teachers of Arabic should work harder to sustain students’ outcome in the subject.en_US
