Abstract

This study investigated the factors affecting organisation and administration of sport in schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. The descriptive research design was used for the study. 150 respondents were selected using simple random sampling technique. Questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. It was validated and tested for reliability through test re-test method. Chi-Square (x2) was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 alpha level. It was revealed that finance, facilities/equipment, administrative style and incentives influenced the organization and that administration of sport in schools in Kwara State. Based on the findings, it was recommended that facilities and equipment should be provided and accessible to students, proper documentation and planning should be put in place and manage by sport personnel.
