dc.description.abstractTuning of the PID controller is often done by trial and error which is tedious, time consuming and relatively inefficient. A more reliable and efficient approach of tuning the PID controller is presented using genetic algorithm. The scope of this work is limited to obtaining control parameters of a digital PID controller for a second-order system, given the desired time-response parameters.en_US
