Abstract
This paper attempts to show the relationship between Religion, party politics and the democratization process, especially in Nigeria, with particular regard to the country's 2003 Presidential Elections. The authors note the impact of Religion on the country's political firmament since time immemorial, and, most especially, during the Fourth Republic.
