Abstract
Age at first marriage has important demographic and health effects on any population. The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting age at marriage among men and women in Nigeria. This study used data obtained from 2005 National AIDS/HIV Reproductive Health Survey conducted in Nigeria. Multinomial logistic regressions were employed to examine the relationship between age at first marriage and some set of covariates which are thought to be influential factors. Age at first marriage varies by geo-political zone, location, religion, highest level of education attained, age at sexual initiation and circumcision status of respondents
