Transport and Communication

Abstract

Transport and communication are the two major ways by which man interacts in order to effect productive activities. The mode of operation may differ a little, but intention to carry out economic, political and social activities is very similar. This chapter considers transport and communication within the realm of human geography. It is divided into two parts: viz (1) transport and (2) communication. That notwithstanding, readers of this chapter will find the content very useful as an introductory text in transport and communication as a course of study in higher institutions.
