O.; Olasinde., B. A.; Kayode, S. T.,; Yakubu, T. I.,Management ensure well-coordinated efforts aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the literacy education to serve the marginalized groups. Thus, this paper focuses attention on the strategies for ensuring effective management of literacy education for marginalized groups in rural communities of Kwara State, Nigeria. It looks into the concept of literacy and literacy education as it impacts marginalized individual economic well-being. It is accepted that effective management of literacy education could enhance individual marginalized group abilities to cope with the evolving challenges they experience and enhance their chances in the society where they belong. Hence, education has to be redefined in the context of marginalized individuals to make it responsive to their yearning for better living conditions. The paper takes a review of marginalized groups, their features and status, certain strategies to address literacy education among the marginalized groups were discussed. Against this premise, conclusions were drawn, and some recommendations were made to include the need for the need to expand learning programmes to nooks and corners of the federation and the learning centers must be placed close to learners’ residences so as to encourage regular participation by all. Also, governments at all levels in Nigeria should develop and implement interventions such as subsidies for direct educational costs and greater cultural sensitization to the educationally marginalized groups. Also, appropriate national government policy and political will are necessary preconditions to expanding access to educationally marginalized populations.Item Pre-Retirement Planning: Enlightenment for Workers towards Financial Independence in Ilorin West L.G.A. Kwara State, Nigeria.(Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences Ojaja University, Eyenkorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, 2025-10-04) Sholagberu, A. O.; Yakubu, T. I.,; Kayode, S. T.,This paper examined pre-retirement planning as enlightenment for workers towards financial independence in Kwara State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consists of all the staff of the Ilorin West local government (654). A sample size of 100 respondents drawn from the staff of the local government using simple random sampling technique. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit relevant information from the respondents. Data collected from the respondents were analyzed using a simple percentage to analyze the demographic information of the respondent, while mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions raised. This study explores how pre-retirement planning activities can increase the total resources of retirees, including tangible, mental, and social resources, and consequently contribute to better psychological and physical well-being. The results of the latent growth mediation models also support our prediction: retirees with more preparatory activities before retirement acquire greater resources at the initial stage, which contribute to positive changes in post-retirement well-being over time. The results of the study reveal that enlightening the public about pre-retirement planning helps workers think critically and plan. Lack of proper information causes workers not to plan effectively towards retirement; educating workers about pre-retirement planning before employment helps them to plan adequately.
