Therefore, the aim of this paper is to study the experiences of Prophets Lūț and Shu'ayb, due to replication of the acts of their people in the contemporary society, with a view to highlighting the essence of building Sharī ah-compliant society. The paper concluded that it is necessary for the members of the modern period to ponder, reflect and illuminate on the teachings of the Prophets Lūt and Shu'ayb in order to provide catholicon to the predominance of depraved practices.

There is no gainsaying that Adam Abdullah Al-Ilorī was a scholar and a prolific Muslim writer whose works have been studied at different educational levels. A unique feature of this scholar is that even though, a Nigerian, his literary works in the Arabic language exceed matters of Islamic theology to political and social issues. His work titled Huqūqu'l-'Insān bayna 'Adyāni's-Samā'i wa Qawānīni'z- Zamān, which is being studied is one of the many works of Al-Ilorī on political matters. The work discusses the origin and development of human rights in the realm of religion and the contemporary legal document. Using a combination of historical, descriptive and analytical research methods, this work studied the approach of Al-Ilorī to fundamental human rights. The findings of the work revealed that the author is very much familiar with international issues. However, the title of the work depicts a study of human rights in the heavenly religions but the study concentrated on provisions contained in the Qur'an among the heavenly revealed books. It is observed that the book would have been more focused if it studies human rights from the perspectives of Islam and the constitution of Nigeria.

(Department by the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin., 2016-12) Azeez, O.R.; Yahya, Shaykh Ahmad
The quest for compliance by the do's and don'ts of the government is a major challenge of most African countries. This is because one of the most essential elements that guarantee followership is lacking in this part of globe. Indeed, it is not gainsaying that most of the African countries particularly Nigeria fail to transcend nadir in the development and maintain its status quo despite the fact that it is well endowed with enviable human and natural resources. Thus, Nigerians suffer economically and politically in the hands of non-humane leaders who marred the administration. In other words, embezzlement of public funds and corruption in all its ramifications became the order of the day. Albeit a myriad number of elections had been conducted to choose sacrosanct leaders; yet, reverse is the case in Nigeria. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to x-ray the principles of leadership as depicted in 'Islām with a view to highlighting the role that religion can play in realizing the fervency. Through the use of analytical and critical methods, the paper concluded that disdain that has eaten deeply as a result of undermining the rights of followership can only be lessened or corrected if Islamic principles of leadership are espoused.

(epartment of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin., 2019-12) Yahya, Shaykh Ahmad
Nigeria and South Africa are formerly British colonies and members of the Common Wealth and the African Unions. It is on record that the two countries have been supportive in surmounting the vicissitudes of life through enhancement of bilateral relations and trade over ages. Yet, immigrants from all walks of life including Nigerians have been experiencing untold suffering, discrimination, brutality and cruelty in the hands of South Africans despite the fact that religion is the way of life in their country. Although, survey revealed that South Africans are predominantly Christians, there is no gainsaying that Christianity does not shy away from proscribing racism, intolerance, unjust killings and all other forms of mischievous acts. In order to proffer solutions to the incessant attacks on the foreigners in the country particularly Nigerians, curtail reprisal attacks on South Africans in Nigeria and save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, this study attempts to explore the viability of Qur'anic provisions in curing the ailment of xenophobia. Through the use of historical, analytical and phenomenological approaches. the paper argues that the demanding quietude and harmonious relationship required in sustaining peace in the two countries will be achieved if the Qur'anic provisions on peace building are embraced. It recommends, among other things, that the victims of xenophobia should be rehabilitated in order to halt reprisal attacks that could lead to war and that stiffer punishment should be melted on the culprits of jungle justice.

It used to be an ancient city populated by God fearing and contented Islamic scholars, who lived godly life with their highly submissive and religious wife(s) and their ever obedient children who cohabited together in a peaceful and harmonious environment since the formation of the city. Researchers affirm that Islam with its good moral values system spread to other parts of the country, particularly South-West and South-South via Ilorin except Northern Nigeria through which Islam got to Ilorin (Imam 2016:15). However, things began to go awry few decades ago, following the incursion of money hungry youth into Ilorin, who believed strongly in accumulation of wealth through crude means without minding whose horse is gored. To them, rituals are the only methods through which affluence can be attained. This act has taken a central stage in the capital of the hitherto acclaimed State of Harmony and pervaded the social sphere of Ilorin where many innocent lives had been wasted through these ignoble activities. These strange killings in the guise of sourcing for blood money have now become things of great concern to inhabitants of the state, particularly the government, corporate bodies and private individuals. good potent solution to this social aberration is
