    EFFECT OF JOB ENRICHMENT STRATEGIES ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES IN KAMWIRE HOLDINGS ILORIN, KWARA STATE, NIGERIA

    The complexities of modern business operations demand a clear departure from the traditional ideological orientation of prioritizing the use of monetary rewards as the most cherished motivational tool to obtain workers concurrence and higher performance but rather a more robust work-related employee performance oriented strategies one of which is job enrichment. This is important to avert job monotony, boredom and all forms of operationally induced workplace dissatisfaction that is associated with highly bureaucratic and over-controlled authority structure. Therefore, this study sought to examine the effect of job enrichment strategies on employee performance with reference to KAMWIRE holdings Ilorin. Other specific objectives of the study were to: examine the effect of job enrichment strategies on employee engagement; and (ii) to determine the effect of job enrichment strategies on employee quality of work. The population of the study is 1,621 out of which 318 respondents were given questionnaire through a multi stage selection technique. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) were adopted for analysis. The results showed that job enrichment strategies have positive and significant effect on employee engagement as well as quality of work in the organisation studied. In conclusion, job enrichment strategies have positive and significant effect on employee engagement as well as quality of work. It was recommended that organizations should improve on the latitude of opera rational freedom of their employees as well as enhance their skill variety through inter and intra departmental postings to eliminate operational and workplace boredom for improved employee and organisational performance.

    Impact of Strategic Planning on Organisational Performance (A Study of GTBank Plc).

    In view of the many challenges that business organizations are exposed to, it is imperative for them, both profit and nonprofit organizations, to anticipate challenges, identify their strengths to meet anticipated challenges and take control of available opportunities to obtain maximum productivity. Unfortunately, in most organizations, strategic plans are not carried out and implemented properly. Therefore, this study examined the impact of strategic planning on organizational performance using a study of selected GT Bank branches in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The study employed survey design. The population consisted of ninety-seven (97) employees of GT Bank. A sample size of seventy-eight (78) respondents was used in this study, which was determined using Taro Yamane formula. The specific objectives of the study were (1) to examine the relationship between setting objectives and profitability, (2) to determine the role of vision and mission statements on market size of GT Bank PLC. To examine the effect of strategy evaluation on efficiency of GT Bank PLC. Descriptive statistics comprising the simple percentage and tables for a detailed presentation were used. The correlation and regression analysis were adopted for this study. The findings reveal that; There is a significant relationship between setting objectives and profitability. The result shows that the calculated significance value of 0.000 is less than the chosen value of 0.05 significance level. Strategy evaluation has a significant effect on the bank's efficiency, with strategy evaluation having β = 0.815 and p - value = 0.000, which implies that an increase in strategy evaluation will result to 81.5% increase in organization's efficiency. The study therefore concludes that strategy planning has impact on organization performance. The study recommends that organization should be specific about their objectives, ensure its appropriate formulation and communication to staff at all level of the organization. Objective should be set prior to its accomplishment so as to embrace realistic performance measurement.

    PERSONAL SELLING STRATEGY AND INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT MARKETING

    It is also indisputable that although advertising, sales promotions and publicity play an important role in the industrial promotional mix, but personal selling serves as the main selling instrument. Despite the immense contributions of personal selling to different business organizations, critics still fail to recognize it as a marketing strategy to reckon with. This study focused on the impact of personal selling strategies on the marketing of industrial product using Olam farms Ltd as the case study in Ilorin, Kwara state. The study determined the significant relationship between Customer persuasion strategy and customer patronage of Olam's product, determined the significant relationship between Personal relationship strategy and sales growth of Olam's product. This study adopted descriptive and inferential methods of analysis. The population of the study was 48 respondents. The data collected were analyzed using analysis and findings using multiple regression analysis at 0.05 level of significance. For the validity of the research instrument, the face and content validity methods is adopted. This study shows that there is significant relationship between personal relationship strategy and sales growth. And it also shows that there is significant relationship between customer persuasion strategy and customer patronage. The study therefore concludes that personal selling strategies is significantly significant to the marketing of industrial products. The study recommended that Olam farms Ltd should ensure that its marketers make use of customer persuasion strategy in order to convince customers through gimmick and logics to increase the level patronage.
