Item Kwara-Central undergraduates’ perceived peer pressures on youth inolvement in kidnapping(Intelektual Pustaka Media Utama (IPMU) in collaboration with Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES), 2021) Rasheed, S.A, & Abdulaziz, I.This study examined Kwara central undergraduates’ perceived influence of peer pressure on youths’ involvement in menace of kidnapping. This study was a descriptive survey. The population for this study was all undergraduates in Kwara Central Senatorial District. The target population was undergraduates from university of Ilorin and Alhikmah University, 500 students were randomly selected. A researcher design questionnaire was used for data collection while data collected were analysed using frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation (SD), ranking t-test and one-way analysis of variance. Research hypotheses were tested with the use of independent t-test and also one-way analysis of variance at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that peer pressure influences youth involvement in the menace of kidnapping in Nigeria; there was no significant difference in the influence of peer pressure on youth’s involvement in menace of kidnapping as perceived by undergraduates based on gender. based on academic level and based on school type. The study recommended that parents should regulate their wards associates, School management and guidance counselors should orientate students on consequences of bad friends, development of task force against kidnapping, to reduce the trends and occurrence of kidnapping in our society.
