    Assessment of Neurochemical and Biochemical Safety of Levonorgestrel in Female Wistar Rats: Implications for Quality Assurance in Contraceptive Use and Supplement Co-administration

    This study investigated the neurobiological effects of levonorgestrel (LNG), a widely used contraceptive medication, and the potential modulatory role of melatonin, a readily available supplement. Using a female Wistar rat model, the research examined the effects of varying dosages and exposure frequencies of LNG, alone and in combination with melatonin, on neuro-oxidative stress, lipid profiles, and bioenergetics. The findings of this study have significant implications for global health and well-being, particularly in ensuring medication safety and promoting sustainable health practices. The research contributed to a broader understanding of pharmaceutical impacts on diverse populations worldwide, addressing challenges in quality assurance and safe medication use. The study's results can inform educational initiatives regarding responsible medication use and supplement co-administration, ultimately promoting public health and well-being.
