Item Future of edupreneurship in Nigeria: the evolution of entrepreneurship in entertainment and education industries. E.ABSTRACT The aftermath of covid-19 pandemic is raising consciousness on the need for functional education to attain individual and national goals as it concerns sub-Saharan Africa. The aim is to verify the evolution of entrepreneurship in the education and the entertainment industries; ascertain areas of potential synergies and intersection that could be harnessed to turn the tide of edupreneurship in Nigeria. The position paper reviewed possible ways the integration of entertainment elements can enhance the effectiveness of science education contents, bring about engaging entrepreneurial innovations to learning and drive progress in the education industry. Theoretical framework for the concept of edutainment was highlighted synthesizing the components of edutainment in classroom and computer lab environment respectively. Entertainment values and science education elements in the contemporary age were discussed, pointing out the contributory factors to the evolution of entrepreneurship in each sector. The experiences, challenges and perspectives on the future of edupreneurship were discussed. Valuable insights into the evolution of entrepreneurship in the era of industrial revolution was made. Possible areas of partnership between science education content and entertainment for edupreneurship to thrive were brought to limelight. Recommendations include the need for policy makers to create enabling environment for the fusion of entertainment into science education, the need for educational institutions to embrace new media technologies that help deliver science educational content using innovative formats that resonates with learners in the African environment; and for teachers to adopt innovative formats for improved cognitive and affective engagement and personalized learning experience and motivation among learners
