(Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin, 2018-04) Abdulrauf-Salau, Aishat; Azeez, Lukuman Adesina; Adegoke, Rukayat Ololade
This study examined the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in curbing corruption among public servants in Kwara State Inland Revenue Service. Thus, this study specifically analyzed the relationship between ICTs and governance; Egovernance and corruption and ICTs and Integrated Tax Administration System in Nigeria (ITAS). It was discovered that even though successes have been recorded in the use of ICTs to fight corruption in some countries, there is a need to integrate the ICT initiatives with institutional support and commitment from stakeholders to make its fight against corruption very effective in Nigeria.
