Item Assessment of the facilitators’ perception on the Challenges and Prospects of Lifelong Education in the 21st Century in Kwara State, Nigeria.(Nigerian National Council for Adult Education., 2021-09-03) Ambali T. K.This paper looks in to the problems and prospects of lifelong education as perceived by the facilitators in the 21"centuiy, considering the fact that the economy is depressed and there are too many challenges on the workforce which intensely amplifies the needs and demands for learners to improve on their proficiencies, acquire skills and knowledge align to the new emerge economic situation to avoid being laid off. This study realized that, in solving many prevailing problems in the country life education seems to be the tool to address these challenges due to the fact that, it embodies knowledge and learning that emphasized relevance, responsiveness, respect, dignity and integrity in all, irrespective of age, gender, creed, equality, socio-economic and political justice. Descriptive survey was adopted for the study and multi stage sampling technique was used in the process. The study was narrowed down to Kwara Central Senatorial District, with its four Local Government Areas. The population of the study were all the public senior secondary school Head teachers and head of other Educational departments. However; the total respondents sampled were two hundred questionnaire was the measure used to collect data for the study. Among the findings of the study was lack of great public awareness on lifelong education, lack of adequate fund for the smooth sailing of the programme. Therefore, the study recommended that adequate and continuous awareness be made available to the general public and adequate fund should be provided to run the programme effectively. O.,; Abdullahi, A.K.; Sholagberu, A.O.; Mohammed, R.M.O.This study examined the impact of entrepreneurship education on job creation and employability of undergraduate students of higher institutions of learning in Kwara State, Nigeria. Four objectives were raised and translated to research questions to guide the study. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study and 9,283 was considered as the target populations comprising male and female students. A sample size of 361 respondents was selected. Multi-stage sampling procedure was adopted to select respondents that will be participate in the study. At the first stage, a cluster sampling technique would be used to sample higher institutions offering Entrepreneurship as a compulsory general course within Kwara State. At the second stage, stratified sampling would be adopted, because the population was group or divided into higher institution of learning: University of Ilorin and Kwara State University. A self-developed questionnaire was used as the research instrument for data collection. The reliability test of the questionnaire was done using test retest technique and a co-efficient 0.87 was obtained. The administration of the instrument was done by the researcher and three field research assistants. The administration of the instrument was carried out by the researchers and three volunteer field research assistants. The data collected was analyzed using mean rating and standard deviation. One of the findings revealed that the provision training that enables students acquire specialized skills, to acquire skills for self-reliance and for manpower training are the factors responsible for implementation of entrepreneurship education and job creation. It is therefore, recommended that entrepreneurship education providers should encourage more participation in vocational training that enables students acquire specialized skills for self-reliance and manpower training.
