    The discourse on human sexuality is a complex one, controversial issue from time immemorial. There have been several connects and arguments by scholars in favor and against sex marriage. The subjects of feminism and homosexuality are very much at the forefront of Christian ethnical discussion even in this present time Feminism means different things to different people and in different places. This work discussed why the act of Homosexuality is condemned biblically and culturally in the Nigerian context. There have been several comments and views from some religious groups as touching same sex marriage. In fact, there are arguments that favor and at the same time oppose same sex marriage with equal rights by these religious organizations. The same view that these religious groups have about same sex marriage is the same with homosexuality. As a result, antagonists of same sex marriage have expressed concerns that limit their religious franchise. Presently, religion has become more visible. therefore, it is important that feminists consider their approach to religion very carefully most especially for the sake of other women if not for their own sake. Historical and analytical methods were adopted in this work. The motivation for this work is that moral values should be protected. The main beneficiaries of this work are the youths and religious organizations in our contemporary society. In conclusion, from the study of Homosexuality, there should be an insight that should begin to change the understanding on which other disciplines are based.

    SOCIAL CONFLICTS AND CHRISTAIN MARRIAGES

    We live in a world full of conflicts. The premise of this work in that the church and Nigeria as a nation are currently bedeviled with myriad of problems. Conflict is common to all marriages, some conflicts are good and healthy for the family because they strengthen bonds, while it can be unhealthy when it escalates. Unfortunately, as much as we try to avoid conflict it is still winding it way into the most intimate relationship whereby causing divorce and domestic violence in homes. Christian marriage is not an exception in this menace. This work looks at the cases of conflict and solutions to social conflicts in Christian marriage. Historical and phenomenological methods were used. There is not a way to avoid conflict in marriage In The Redeemed Christian Church of God but the question how to deal with it in God instituted marriage, so His word reveal how best to conduct it and to resolve marital problems. God's word does not guarantee marital bliss but it does gives guidance and council to help couples with serious marital problems. The findings of the stock were that conflict in marriage were caused through man-generated problems. Therefore, the study recommended that couples should promptly react constructively to early warning signs of marital conflicts before the develop into bad signals of cohabitation.

    THE CHURCH'S MORAL OBLIGATION TOWARDS POVERTY ALLEVIATION IN NIGERIA

    In time past, the Church inherited a form of theology from the missionaries in which they failed to analyse the social impact and the significance of the major Christian themes for the transformation of the society. The Church then was totally separated from the culture of the society which prevented them from seeing anything good in what the society has to offer. What the Church believed then was that 'worldly concerns are seen to be obstacles to the life of perfection'. However, as the world began to turn to a global village and members of the church seen to be the same set of people that constitute the society, the 'syllabus' of Christianity and the Church theology must begin to change. Therefore, this article prescribed a social mission for religious institutions that would challenge the status quo theologies that reduce the poor to apathy and merely promise paradise after death. It recommends that, the Church should change her behavior towards the society by taking the challenge to carry the society's cross, i.e. alleviation of poverty. The Church's obligation to the poor therefore forms the basis of our discussion as we attempted an assessment of the Church and her obligations to the poor. The basis of our assessment were highlighted in the arguments that follows under: the concept of moral obligation. Our findings indicated that, instances abound in the bible and in history where God arises on behalf of the poor, hence using the bible as our basis; we argued that, theologically, the Church has an obligation to the poor. The research instrument of participatory observation was used to interpret our data using historical and experiential methods.

    THE LEADERSHIP QUALITY OF JESUS AS MODEL FOR NIGERIAN CHURCH LEADERS IN FOSTERING GOOD GOVERNANCE

    This work takes a critical work at leadership succession among Nigerian Pentecostal churches or the New Generation church. The biblical teaching of Jesus Christ on leadership in Matt 20 vs 20-28... is most of the time not followed in choosing a successor. This article will therefore, postulate that, this is one of the main problem facing Nigerian churches which make some of the churches to lose focus of the assignment God has called them to do. The methods adopted in this paper are historical, theological and analytical. The main objective of this work is to look at the servant-master leadership as described by Jesus Christ and the leadership style of the contemporary church leaders. This work focuses on the servant leadership style of Jesus Christ and the contemporary church leaders in Nigeria. There are some distinctive traits of Jesus Christ that every team leader can learn from. What are the challenges faced by the church leaders? What is servant Leadership? The paper concludes by saying Jesus' teaching on leadership focuses on two examples from experiences common to His disciples; one is "lords it over them" and the second is "exercise authority." The findings of this work are that both models are still prevalent as natural styles of leadership in the contemporary Nigerian church; and as Jesus condemned them, they should be discourage in all ramifications and replaced with servant leadership.
