dc.description.abstractThis study explored historical development of primary education in New-Bussa LGA, Niger state, Nigeria. in this study, emergence of primary school in the LGA, the number of staff (male and female), number of yearly enrolment and challenges faced by the primary school in New Bussa LGA were all traced. This study made used of Historical method of research. the population of the study comprises all pupils from the 16 primary schools used for the research which was about a total of 5,746. A researcher's designed pro forma and questionnaire were used for data collection while the data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics of percentage, bar chart and mean rating to answer the research questions raised for this studyen_US
