dc.description.abstractThis chapter traces the archetypal patterns in the Nupe Ndakogboya masquerade performance. Emphasis is on the forms and processes of the activities that precede the performances of this masquerade on its functional bases the performances is meant to reestablish and reconstruct annually the traditions and ways of life of the set of people who serves as its audience from this masquerade performance one can therefore reconstruct the ways of life of the people of Nupe land in Kwara, Niger, Kaduna, Lagos Badagry and Kogi States .en_US
