| dc.description.abstract | The study examined self-concept and quality of service delivery among early childhood educators in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Osun State. Specifically, it examined the relationship between early childhood educators’ self-concept and quality of service delivery on the basis of gender, work experience, marital status and academic qualification. The population comprises both the public and private primary school teachers in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Osun State. Simple random sampling technique was used to select ten public primary schools and ten private primary schools. Frequency count and percentage were used to analyze the demographic data while Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC), Independent sample t-test, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used to test the null hypotheses formulated in the study at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that there was significant relationship between self-concept and quality of service delivery of early childhood educators, in the quality of service delivery of early childhood educators based on gender, work experience, marital status and academic qualification. Hence recommendations were made that workshop should be organized for early childhood educators on how to build their self-concept, early childhood educators should see teaching of children as a prestigious profession and they should be encouraged to further their studies to acquire more knowledge that will have a bearing on the quality of their service delivery. | en_US |
