Abstract
The debate on control has been ongoing for some decades. The crave for resource control is a serious issue in Nigerian politics. This is not unconnected to the value attached to resources by Government and the people where the resources are found. The fact that the people whose land the resources are domiciled found injustice and neglect in resources sharing call for resources control. The confidence reposed in the process of distribution has been bastardized. The normal allegiance for fair play when taking the oath of office based on the religious inclination has not been respected.
