dc.description.abstractArabic Poetry retains the front position among the products of Arabic Scholars in Nigeria. Many works of Nigerian authors had exposed how poetry had been used to express thoughts, idea and views about different phenomenal. The second period of Arabic Literature in Nigeria as discussed by Al Ilory in Misbahud Diraasatil Adabiyyah witnessed the golden era of how emotions were interpreted through imagination with the employment of artistic styles unintentionally. The extension of poetic prowess is witnessed in all Arabic Literature periods where poets composed poems with the standard of Arabic Poetry of early periods. Isa Alabi Abubakar as one of the most recognized Arabic poets in Nigeria had succeeded in composing poems that cut across many topics within his immediate society and across the globe. This paper therefore studied the spiritual immigration in Nigerian Arabic Poetry with concentration on Isa Alabi Abubakar's corpus. The paper examines the difference between spiritual immigration and orientalism through the understanding of their meaning. The artistic features of the selected poems were accounted for. The descriptive method was approached in justifying the study. The finding of the study showed that Isa Alabi does not process a restricted scholarly personality but a wide and versed knowledge that put his name in the register of African poets. His understanding of how grammatical and rhetorical styles were exposed in the study. With this, the poet succeeded in extending the culture of the world to his people through his poem.
