Abstract

Ori-Oke is the yoruba term for mountain prayer. In recent time, the prayer phenomenon is increasing and making impact on the social psyche of the people. Ilorin in the North-central Nigeria seems to be taking the lead. With historical method the papers discusses the increase in prayer mountains and how it is bringing about social changes.
