Political Science like other social science disciplines, has some concepts that are central and peculiar to its study. The study and examination of these concepts shows in clear terms what demarcates the discipline from other social science disciplines. This is not however to say that there are no points of convergence of the discipline of political science with other social science disciplines. But the fact remains that social science discipline has peculiar concepts. For instance, the economists' deals with concept such as scale of preference, marginal utility, income, demand and supply. However, central to the study of political science are concepts such as public opinion, pressure groups, political parties and party systems.en_US
