dc.description.abstractSheikh Sulaiman Badmas Olaoti was one of the islamic scholars in Okelele, studied in Madrasat of Sheikh Mustapha Alalubosa at Sebura area, He was a close friend to Sheikh Abdur Rahman Alabidun, Sheikh Olaoti has Arabic School which produced many of erudite islamic Scholars, He was also the first Imam of Kankatu Mosque at Okelele, he laid their Muslims in the prayer till when he was unable to go to mosque as a result of old-age sickness while his first son Sheikh Imam Mahmoud bn Sulaiman Olaoti was representing to lead the prayer till when he was die 1958 and the son became Imam and the teacher in his Arabic School at Olaoti Compound Kankatu Okelele. Sheikh Sulaiman had two wives: Alhaja Rabiat (Iya Eleku) daughter of his teacher Mustapha Alalubosa, and Alhaja Asiyat Gatta who were blessed four children: Sheikh Mahmoud Olaoti, Sheikh Salaudeen Olaoti, Hajjia Batul Imam Atere and Hajia Asia`u Nageri.en_US
