Abstract
In this era of globalization , the world at large islooking towards integrating information and communication technologies into the education sector to promote economic and technological advancements. Technology is the application of man's knowledge, information and ideas at any given time in controlling and developing his environment. To achieve the technological development in Nigeria, the Nigerian Government introduced a change in the school system to 6-3-3-4 to include Introductory Technology at the junior secondary schools and now Basic Technology in the new 9-3-4 system. despite changes in the school system, policy document and textbooks, Basic Technology Teachers are not adequate in the application and utilization of Information and Communication Technology in the classroom. based on this, it is pertinent to explore the factors responsible for Basic Technology Teachers' under-utilization of Information and Communication Technology. The data for the study were collected through questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings showed that Basic Technology Teachers' have not attended ICT utilization seminars and workshops which undermine utilization.
