Christian Association of Nigeria, the umbrella body of Christian Church in Nigeria was formed on August 27, 1976, to serve as the mouthpiece of the church in Nigeria. However, many people only had the perception that the Association was formed to cater for the interests of Christian alone. The aim of this paper was to critically examine the contributions of CAN to the actualization of restructuring and resource control. Methods adopted in this paper included historical and phenomenological. The findings of this paper showed that restructuring and resource control have been causing problems and disunity among various tribes and religions in Nigeria; and that CAN, had also been lending its voice to the agitation by various interest and pressure groups. The paper concluded by suggesting ways by which the agitations can be achieved without shedding of blood and division.en_US
