Abstract

In this digital age, companies wishing to compete must rethink and rework their use of technology in supply chain relationships. ICT offers powerful advanced technology solutions to support and enhance nearly every facet of the textile business. With the increase in competition, clothing manufacturing companies are taking advantage of IT to improve the supply chain management and utilize it as a competitive advantage. In this article, it is shown that IT can be used to form strategic alliances among all participating companies in the supply chain and also to speed up data interchange among companies, reduce inventory and generally serve the customer more efficiently.
