dc.description.abstractThe development of human resource (HR) is very essential for all personnel in the library profession because this assist them in acquiring the requisite skills and knowledge for productivity in their workplace. The study investigated the relationship between HR development and library personnel productivity in private universities in Kwara State. Descriptive research of survey method was employed. One hundred and thirty-two (132) research participants from four private universities in Kwara State were sampled through census sampling methods. A validated, pretested (reliability co-efficient of 0.88) and administered questionnaire was used for data collection. Descriptive statistics were employed to analyse the research questions using mean and standard deviation. Inferential statistics were used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 significance level using Pearson production moment correlation (PPMC).
