dc.description.abstractIslam is a religion of peace, it calls for peaceful coexistence between human kinds at all levels,. Muhammad Sheikh Ali an Islamic poet has observed the absence of coexistence among Muslims in Nigeria and he was touched. Thus, he composed a poem called "Wa Islamahu" known as "O Islam" where he took a look at the causes of this atmosphere and suggest solutions. This paper therefore, studies his view of the situation and solutions provided using descriptive method. This paper thereby concludes that, Muslims should ignore minor differences between them, abstain from unnecessary arguments and pay attention to educating the youths. الإسلام دين السلام يدعو إلى التعايش السلمي بين أفراد الناس على جميع مستويات الحياة، وقد لاحظ الشاعر محمد شيخ علي عدم التعايش السلمي بين المسلمين في نيجيريا، فاغتاظ لهذه الظاهرة وهيّجت عاطفته فقرض قصيدة سماها "وا إسلاماه" يدعو فيها إلى التعايش السلمي بين المسلمين ووقف فيها على القضايا الحساسة التي أدّت إلى هذه الظاهرة الشنيعة موضّحا ومشخصا للحلول الحاسمة. فهذه المقالة تسعى إلى دراسة قصيدته "وا إسلاماه" لتحليل تلك الظاهرة وآرائه واقترحاته للحلول الحاسمة. وتبنّت المقالة المنهج الوصفي لتتبع الظاهرة وتحليلها. وقد وصلت المقالة في آخر المطاف إلى نتائج أهمها: أن الجهل هو سبب أساسي للخلاف والنزاع بين المسلمين في نيجيريا. وأحال إلى الاهتمام بتعليم الناشئين للتغاضي عن الاختلافات في الفروع التي لا تمس الثوابت الإسلامية.
