dc.description.abstractNigeria is faced with threat;s to her internal security as a result of the pervasive state of insecurity in some parts of the country. This has thrown up challenges for the intelligence community in the country. The efficiency and effectiveness of intelligence has been under scrutiny due to recurring intelligence failure on the state of insecurity. This has affected the support and conduct of security operation in Nigeria. This situation i a source of concern among policy makers, scholars, international relations analyst. owing to the poor state of security in the country, Nigeria is currently losing huge foreign investments. It remains the duty of government to provide an enabling environment for the populace to fulfill her potentials and the absence of this pose a threat in the polity of the country. The paper examines the operation of the office of the National Security Adviser of Nigeria and recommended solutions.en_US
